Transformational brownfield plan definition

Transformational brownfield plan means a brownfield plan that meets the requirements of section 13c and is adopted under section 14a and, as designated by resolution of the governing body and approved by the Michigan strategic fund, will have a transformational impact on local economic development and community revitalization based on the extent of brownfield redevelopment and growth in population, commercial activity, and employment that will result from the plan. To be designated a transformational brownfield plan, a transformational brownfield plan under this subdivision shall be for mixed-use development and shall be expected to result in the following levels of capital investment:

To be designated a transformational brownfield plan, a transformational brownfield plan must be for mixed-use development unless waived by the MSF as provided under Section 14a(26) of the Brownfield Act and is expected to result in specific levels of capital investment as defined by the Brownfield Act.
