Transmission System Emergencies definition

Transmission System Emergencies means Emergency conditions where there is the potential, either imminently or for the next contingency, for system instability or cascading, or for equipment loading or voltages significantly beyond applicable operating limits, such that stability of the transmission system cannot be assured, or to prevent a condition or situation that in the judgment of a Party is imminently likely to endanger life or property.
Transmission System Emergencies are conditions that have the potential to exceed or would exceed an IROL.

Related to Transmission System Emergencies

  • Transmission System means the facilities controlled or operated by the Transmission Provider within the PJM Region that are used to provide transmission service under Tariff, Part II and Part III. Transmission Withdrawal Rights:

  • Transmission System Operator means a natural or legal person responsible for operating, ensuring the maintenance of and, if necessary, developing the transmission system in a given area and, where applicable, its interconnections with other systems, and for ensuring the long-term ability of the system to meet reasonable demands for the transmission of electricity;

  • interconnected system means a number of transmission and distribution systems linked together by means of one or more interconnectors;

  • telecommunication system means any system (including the apparatus comprised in it) which exists (whether wholly or partly in the United Kingdom or elsewhere) for the purpose of facilitating the transmission of communications by any means involving the use of electrical or electro-magnetic energy.

  • Outage has the meaning set forth in the CAISO Tariff.

  • Interconnection Service means the physical and electrical interconnection of the Customer Facility with the Transmission System pursuant to the terms of Tariff, Part IV and Tariff, Part VI and the Interconnection Service Agreement entered into pursuant thereto by Interconnection Customer, the Interconnected Transmission Owner and Transmission Provider. Interconnection Service Agreement:
