Unaccounted for Water (UFW) definition

Unaccounted for Water (UFW) means the difference between “net production” (the volume of water delivered into domestic water distribution network) and “consumption” (volume of water for legitimate consumption as accounted for assessment purpose). It covers both physical losses and revenue losses (thefts, illegal connections etc.).
