Unlawful drug definition

Unlawful drug means any drug as defined by the Controlled Substances Act including, but not limited to, marijuana, cocaine, opiates, amphetamines and phencyclidine (PCP). As used in this policy, unlawful drug also means possession, use, sale or supply of prescription and nonprescription drugs in violation of Board policy JHCD - Administering Noninjectable Medicines to Students, JHCDA - Administering Injectable Medicines to Students and any accompanying administrative regulations.
Unlawful drug trafficking" means the criminal offences listed in Article 3 (1) of the United Nations Convention of 20 December 1988 against Illicit Traffic in Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances and in the provisions amending or replacing that Convention;

  • Public health authority means an agency or authority of the United States, a state, a territory, a political subdivision of a state or territory, an Indian tribe, or a foreign government, or a person or entity acting under a grant of authority from or contract with such public agency, including the employees or agents of such public agency or its contractors or persons or entities to whom it has granted authority, that is responsible for public health matters as part of its official mandate.

  • Generic Drug means a Prescription Drug that is medically equivalent to a Brand Name Drug as determined by the FDA. It meets the same standards as a Brand Name Drug for purity, safety, strength and effectiveness and is manufactured and sold under its chemical, common, or official name.

  • Dangerous drug means any of the following:

  • Dishonest or Fraudulent Act means any dishonest or fraudulent act, including “larceny and embezzlement” as defined in Section 37 of the Investment Company Act of 1940, committed with the conscious manifest intent (1) to cause the Insured to sustain a loss and (2) to obtain financial benefit for the perpetrator or any other person (other than salaries, commissions, fees, bonuses, awards, profit sharing, pensions or other employee benefits). A Dishonest or Fraudulent Act does not mean or include a reckless act, a negligent act, or a grossly negligent act.

  • Public Health Laws means all applicable Laws relating to the development, pre-clinical testing, clinical testing, manufacture, production, analysis, distribution, importation, exportation, use, handling, quality, sale or promotion of any drug, biologic or medical device (including any ingredient or component of the foregoing products) intended for any medical or clinical use subject to regulation under the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act (21 U.S.C. § 301 et seq.) or similar federal, state or foreign Laws.
