public authority means any authority or body or institution of self- government established or constituted—
Host Authority means the local authority appointed by the Parties under these arrangements to lead on a specified matter or function as set out in paragraphs 14 and 19.
Health Authority means the regional health board designated under the Health Authority Act, RSBC 1996, c.180, or the Provincial Health Services Authority, to which the Participant is designated under Schedule 1 (Return of Service Placement Process) of this Contract, unless designated otherwise by the Province;
Central authority means the entity designated by the United States or a foreign country described in section 102(e)(iv) to perform the functions specified in the Convention.
Competent Authority and ‘Appellate Authority’ shall mean the following:
Highway authority means the state highway commission, a board of county road commissioners or the governing body of a city or village.
Contract Authority means the Board of Supervisors or the head of the department or agency presenting the proposed contract to the Board of Supervisors.
Foreign central authority means the entity designated by a foreign country described in section 102(e)(iv) to perform the functions specified in the Convention.
your authority ("eich awdurdod") means the relevant authority of which you are a member or co-opted member.
former Authority means the Water Authority of Western Australia under the Water Authority Act 1984 2 before the commencement of Part 2 of the Water Agencies Restructure (Transitional and Consequential Provisions) Act 1995 3;
Control authority means the commissioner of the Indiana Department of Environmental Management.
Operating Authority means, in respect of the Authorized System, the person, entity, or assignee that is given responsibility by the Owner for the operation, management, maintenance, or Alteration of the Authorized System, or a portion of the Authorized System.
Football Authority means each of the Premier League, The Football League, The Football Association, The Football Association of Wales, FIFA, UEFA and other relevant governing body of association football.
United States central authority means the Secretary of the United States Department of Health and Human Services.
Government Authority means any foreign or domestic federal, state, provincial, municipal, county, city or local legislative, administrative or regulatory authority, agency, court, body or other governmental or quasi-governmental entity with competent jurisdiction, including any supranational body.
Governmental Body means any government or governmental or regulatory body thereof, or political subdivision thereof, whether federal, state, local or foreign, or any agency, instrumentality or authority thereof, or any court or arbitrator (public or private).
Virginia Stormwater Management Program authority or "VSMP authority" means an authority approved by the State Board after September 13, 2011, to operate a Virginia Stormwater Management Program.
medical authority means the medical authority as referred to in clause (p) of section 2 of the Persons with Disabilities (Equal Opportunities, Protection of Rights and Full Participation) Act, 1995 or such other medical authority as may, by notification, be specified by the Central Government for certifying “autism”, “cerebral palsy”, “multiple disabilities”, “person with disability” and “severe disability” referred to in clauses (a), (c), (h), (j) and (o) of section 2 of the National Trust for Welfare of Persons with Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Mental Retardation and Multiple Disabilities Act, 1999;
Antitrust Authority means any governmental authority charged with enforcing, applying, administering, or investigating any Antitrust Law, including any attorney general of any state of the United States, the European Commission, the Bureau of Competition in Canada or any other competition authority of any jurisdiction.
competent authorities means the competent authorities of the Member States as identified on the websites listed in Annex II;
Government Authorities means, without limitation, all Government departments and agencies with responsibility for the import and export of goods, the collection of revenue on the import and export of goods and the transport of those goods to include, without limitation, Customs, AQIS, the ATO and the RSA;
Contracting Authority means any contracting authority as defined in Regulation 3 of the Public Contracts Regulations 2006.
Governmental Antitrust Authority has the meaning set forth in Section 5.08(b).
Franchising Authority means any Governmental Authority authorized by any federal, state or local law to grant a Franchise or to exercise jurisdiction over the rates or services provided by a cable television system pursuant to a Franchise or over Persons holding a Franchise.
Water Authority means the body corporate known as the Water Authority of Western Australia established by the Water Authority Xxx 0000;
national competent authority means any national competent authority as defined in Article 2(2) of Regulation (EU) No 1024/2013;
