Worst Performing Index definition

Worst Performing Index means the Index for which the performance is the lowest in accordance with the definition of WOfinal
Worst Performing Index means, unless otherwise specified in the applicable Final Terms, in respect of a Basket of Indices and a specified date "t" (the Valuation Date or any other date specified as such in the relevant Final Terms), the Index which gives rise to the lowest percentage as determined by the Calculation Agent in accordance with the following formula:⎛ Sk ⎞Min⎜ t ⎟k=1toX ⎜ Sk ⎟⎝ Initial ⎠Where:
Worst Performing Index means, in respect of any Scheduled Valuation Day, the Index for which the Level of the Index on such day divided by Initial Index Level for such Index is lowest, and, in respect of any Averaging Period, the Index for which the performance of the Index (as calculated on the basis of the arithmetic average of the Level of the Index on each relevant Averaging Date) divided by Initial Index Level for such Index is lowest;

Examples of Worst Performing Index in a sentence

  • Auto-Call Trigger Event means an event which occurs if, in the determination of the Calculation Agent, the Worst Performing Index Performance as of the Valuation Time on an Auto-Call Valuation Date is greater than or equal to the relevant Auto-Call Trigger Level.

  • On the Final Valuation Date, the Final Index Level of the Worst Performing Index is at or above its Protection Barrier Level.

  • Otherwise, if on the Valuation Date, the Calculation Agent determines that the final performance of the Worst Performing Index is less than 100 per cent.

  • Unless the Notes have been redeemed early, the Notes will be redeemed at scheduled maturity at their nominal amount if, on the Valuation Date (as defined herein), the Calculation Agent determines that the final performance of the Worst Performing Index (as defined herein) is greater than or equal to 100 per cent., or if a the final performance of the Worst Performing Index is lower than 100 per cent.

  • In relation to a basket of Indices, the Calculation Agent will take the Index Performance of the worst performing Index (the "Worst Performing Index Performance") in the relevant basket in order to make the necessary calculations.


More Definitions of Worst Performing Index

Worst Performing Index means, with respect to the Valuation Date, the Index which gives rise to the lowest percentage as determined by the Calculation Agent in accordance with the formula that is set out in the relevant Pricing Supplement; and
