WPI definition

WPI means the wholesale price index for various commodities as published by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, GOI and shall include any index which substitutes the WPI, and any reference to WPI shall, unless the context otherwise requires, be construed as a reference to the WPI published for the period ending with the preceding month.

  • In case of non-availability of Schedule of Rates at the Base Date, the available Schedule of Rates shall be applied by updating the same based on WPI.

  • For determining the Fixed Charge due and payable to the Supplier, the Base Fixed Charge shall be revised annually to reflect 20% (twenty per cent) of the variation in WPI occurring between January 31 immediately preceding the Bid Date and January 31 immediately preceding the Accounting Year for which such revision is undertaken.
