Common use of Cessation of Index Clause in Contracts

Cessation of Index. 23.2.1 If the Calculation Agent determines, in its sole and absolute discretion, that it is not reasonably practicable (taking into account the costs involved) to calculate or continue to calculate the Index on the basis of Condition 23.1.2 above, the Calculation Agent may re-base the Securities on a single index or Basket of Indices against another index determined by the Calculation Agent, in its sole and absolute discretion, to be a comparable index.
