Index Sponsor means, in relation to an Index, the corporation or other entity that (a) is responsible for setting and reviewing the rules and procedures and the methods of calculation and adjustments, if any, related to such Index and (b) announces (directly or through an agent) the level of such Index on a regular basis during each Scheduled Trading Day, which as of the Issue Date is the index sponsor specified for such Index in the applicable Final Terms;

Examples of Index Sponsor in a sentence

  • Neither the Issuer nor the Guarantor shall have any liability for any act or failure to act by an Index Sponsor in connection with the calculation, adjustment or maintenance of an Index.

  • Except as disclosed prior to the Issue Date, neither the Issuer, the Guarantor nor their affiliates has any affiliation with or control over an Index or Index Sponsor or any control over the computation, composition or dissemination of an Index.
