DIMENSIONS. Moerdijk is one of the largest and most competitive chemicals complexes in Europe and a key asset for Shell’s growth ambitions. It has a combined capacity of ca 4.5mln tons of chemicals per year across several chemical plants: Cracker and Aromatics plant, Propylene Oxide and Styrene-Monomer plants, Ethylene-Oxide and Glycols plant, catalyst (TCAT) plant, and a significant utility company to facilitate this. The Filling & Dispatch department ensures delivery of products to and from the site via pipelines, ships, trains and trucks. The site is closely integrated with the Pernis refinery and chemicals plants. Moerdijk delivers significant cash to the Chemicals business and the Group. It has ca 1200 permanent established positions, and $200-250mln Opex at site. Moerdijk has a base capital outlay of around $250 mln. On top of that, in other to fulfill its strategy, before the end of the decade it expects to spend well ahead of $1B on Growth, Energy Transition and bio-based/circular feedstock processing projects. Capital Employed is north of $1bn. The Moerdijk site provides services and goods to multiple Third Parties co-located in the area, as well as a Joint Venture plant (ELLBA) at the site, hence providing the incumbent exposure to the financial governance of JV’s and 3rd Party contracts. DIMENSIONS. The dimensions of each panel must fall within the limits indicated in the following table. The frame consists of a PVC profile filled with pine and an intumescent product (width: 112 mm, thickness: 24 mm) This profile is fastened to the wall every 600 mm throughout the height of the opening, on both sides of the latter, and throughout the width of the top of the opening. Throughout the width of the opening, on the lintel, a steel J profile (baffle – section: 50 x 24 x 22 mm) is fitted above the PVC profile. A strip of intumescent product (section: 20 mm x 2 mm) is fitted in this steel profile. − The hinges between the panels are secured with 35 mm self-tapping screws. − The ends of the panels are fastened together using adjustable lateral metal hinges. − The upper panel is fitted with the end pieces of 2 galvanised or inox top roller brackets. − The sectional door is raised using rollers on a rail. − Galvanised or inox rollers are fitted in the adjustable hinge openings (roller brackets) on the ends of the panel. − The vertical rail, which is welded against the galvanised or inox profiles, allows the door to travel on its bracket and downwards. − The bottom panel is fitted with a cable break device, which is mounted on the panel using 35 mm self- tapping screws. The entire assembly is suspended on the galvanised flexible cable, which is fitted with a cable clamp. − A 2’’ (< 700 kg) or 3’’ (> 700 kg) door fitting will be attached, depending on the weight of the door leaf (see table) − With panels that are wider than 3500 mm, two adjustable hinges (roller brackets) are required at the panel ends, which will be fastened to the lateral double end pieces (38 ED 295 F)
