250 Return Requirement Sample Clauses

250 Return Requirement. Under the proposed regulations, the determination of whether an entity is required to file at least 250 returns is made by aggregating all returns, regardless of type, that the entity is required to file over the calendar year, including, for example, income tax returns, returns required under section 6033, information returns, excise tax returns, and employment tax returns. The final regulations clarify that in the case of a short year return, an entity is required to file electronically if, during the calendar year which includes the short taxable year of the entity, the entity is required to file at least 250 returns of any type, including, for example, income tax returns, returns required under section 6033, information returns, excise tax returns, and employment tax returns.
