Abdomen. 2.8.1. The abdomen is shown as part No. 7 in Figure 1 of this annex. 2.8.2. The abdomen consists of a rigid central part and a foam covering. 2.8.3. The central part of the abdomen is a metal casting (part No. 7A). A cover plate is mounted on top of the casting. 2.8.4. The covering (part No. 7b) is made of polyurethane (PU) foam. A curved slab of rubber filled with lead-pellets is integrated in the foam covering at both sides. 2.8.5. Between the foam covering and the rigid casting at each side of the abdomen, either three force transducers (part No. 7c) or three non-measuring replacement units can be mounted.
