ABORIGINAL OR XXXXXX XXXXXX ISLANDER CULTURAL LEAVE. The Company acknowledges the importance of recognising the cultural obligations and observances of our Aboriginal and Xxxxxx Xxxxxx Islander (ATSI) communities. As such the Company will provide additional leave to eligible employees in order to support attendance and participation in these recognised activities. An employee who has formally identified with the Employer as being Aboriginal or Xxxxxx Xxxxxx Islander, is eligible to access additional leave for the purpose of fulfilling specific cultural obligations that are recognised as part of the employee’s culture. The entitlement to the additional leave includes 3 days of paid cultural leave and 7 days of unpaid cultural leave.

The Company shall comply with pertinent statutes, Executive Orders and such rules as are promulgated to ensure that no person shall, on the grounds of race, creed, color, national origin, sex, age, or disability be excluded from participating in any activity conducted with or benefiting from Federal assistance. If the Company transfers its obligation to another, the transferee is obligated in the same manner as the Company. This provision is in addition to that required of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.

  • SHOP XXXXXXX (a) The Union may elect or appoint a Shop Xxxxxxx or Shop Stewards to represent the employees and the Union shall notify the Company as to the name or names of such Shop Xxxxxxx or Shop Stewards. The Company agrees that no Shop Xxxxxxx shall suffer any discrimination by reason of holding such office.
