Absence Due to Assault or On the. Job Injury: Whenever an employee is absent from employment and unable to perform his/her duties as a result of injuries sustained in the course of employment, or in the event that an employee has been physically disabled because of an assault of his/her person in the course of his/her employment, the District shall grant the injured employee leave with pay for a period not to exceed one (1) year. All benefits such as retirement, social security, sick leave, and salary placement shall be maintained by the District.
