Absence for Examination. Every employee occupying a permanent position in the classified service shall be 9 permitted to be absent from his/her duties during working hours in order to take any 10 examination given by the District for which the employee is qualified, without 11 deduction of pay or other penalty upon giving two (2) day notice to his/her immediate 14 Every employee taking a District promotional examination for which he/she is 15 qualified will be granted compensating time off equal to the time required to take the 16 examination, if the examination is scheduled at a time other than during the 17 employee's regular working hours. 18
