Absence for Examination. Every unit member shall be 15 permitted to be absent from his/her duties during working hours in order to take 16 any examination for promotion within the District without deduction of pay or other 17 penalty, provided that he/she gives two (2) days' notice to his/her immediate 18 supervisor. Release time extended under this section shall be limited to the 19 duration of the examination and travel to and from the examination site.
