Common use of Abuse and Falsification Clause in Contracts

Abuse and Falsification. Falsification of either a written, signed statement or a physician’s certificate shall be grounds for disciplinary action including dismissal. Notwithstanding any of the foregoing, if a Bargaining Unit member has three (3) or more incidents of absence in any sixty (60) day period, the City may require a physician’s certificate for any absence in the next ninety (90) days, regardless of the length of such absence.
