Academic, Professional and University Community Service. 18.2.6.1 Faculty Members have the right and responsibility to undertake a fair and reasonable share of administrative responsibilities including participation in the work of the University through membership on appropriate bodies; for example, Departmental or School, Faculty and Senate committees. Where participation in such bodies is by election or appointment, a Member shall be elected or appointed only with his/her consent. Those who have the responsibility to make such appointments shall make every effort to ensure that academic, professional and University community service commitments are equitably shared.
