Accrued Sick Leave Upon Layoff. An employee who is laid off: because a position is abolished, or because of a lack of work, or lack of funds, shall not accrue sick leave during the period of layoff. All accumulated sick leave shall be held for the employee's credit should they return to work during the period provided for restoration or layoff re-employment.
