Common use of Accumulated Sick Leave upon Termination of Long Clause in Contracts

Accumulated Sick Leave upon Termination of Long. Term Employment After twenty (20) years of services, and upon termination of employment for any reason, an employee shall be paid the equivalent of one day of pay for each five (5) days of sick leave accrued after the date of the signing of this agreement. Sick days accrued by affected employees prior to that date shall be credited at the rate of one (1) day for each twenty (20) days of accrued sick leave. The maximum to be paid under this provision is forty-five (45) days. Sick time taken shall be on a first-in-first-out basis.
