Accumulative. All teachers employed shall be entitled to thirteen (13) sick leave days each year as of the first official day of said school year whether or not they report for duty on that day. Unused sick leave days shall be accumulated from year to year with no maximum limit. Effective July 1, 1999, all newly hired employees shall be entitled to ten (10) sick days per year. Upon reaching tenure in the district they will be entitled to thirteen (13) days per year from that point forward.

All non-certified unit members both full and part-time, employed for either 10 or 12 months per year, shall be entitled to either 10 or 12 cumulative sick days per year of employment with Lopatcong Township School. All Unit Members employed for less than the entire year shall be entitled to sick days on a pro-rated basis.
