Common use of Accumulative Clause in Contracts

Accumulative. All Full-Time teachers employed shall be entitled to eleven (11) sick leave days each school year as of the first official day of said school year whether or not they report for duty on that day. Unused sick leave days shall be accumulated from year to year with no maximum limit. Part-Time employees shall receive sick days on a pro-rated basis: Example: 2 days/week—professional employee 2/5 = 40% .40 x 11 days (number of sick days for professional) = 4.4 days

Unused sick leave days shall be accumulated from year to year with no maximum limit. Part-Time Effective July 1, 1999, all newly hired employees shall receive be entitled to ten (10) sick days on a pro-rated basis: Example: 2 days/week—professional employee 2/5 = 40% .40 x 11 per year. Upon reaching tenure in the district they will be entitled to thirteen (13) days (number of sick days for professional) = 4.4 daysper year from that point forward.
