Acting Pay. (a) When an employee is required by the Employer to perform substantially the duties of a higher position on an acting basis for a period of at least ten (10) consecutive working days, the employee shall be paid acting pay calculated from the date on which the employee commenced to act as if promoted to that higher position for the period in which the employee acts, such pay to be determined in accordance with clauses 38.09 and 38.10. (b) When a day designated as a paid holiday occurs during the qualifying period set out in paragraph (a) above, the holiday shall be considered a day worked for purposes of the qualifying period. (c) When the employee is granted leave with pay during the qualifying period described in paragraph (a) above, such leave shall not break the qualifying period but shall extend it by an amount equal to the period of leave with pay.

Acting Pay.
(a) When an employee is required by the Employer to substantially perform substantially the duties of a higher position classification level on an acting basis for a period the number of at least ten (10) consecutive working daysdays set forth in subclause 44.06(c), the employee he or she shall be paid acting pay calculated from the date on which the employee he or she commenced to act as if promoted he or she had been appointed to that higher position classification level for the period in during which the employee he or she acts, such pay to be determined in accordance with clauses 38.09 and 38.10.
(b) When When, a day designated as a paid holiday occurs during the qualifying period set out in paragraph (a) aboveperiod, the holiday shall be considered as a day worked for purposes the purpose of the qualifying period.

Acting Pay.
(a) When an employee is required by the Employer to substantially perform substantially the duties of a position having a higher position on an acting basis maximum rate of pay than the one held by him for a period of at least ten one (101) consecutive complete working daysday, the employee he shall be paid acting pay calculated from the date on which the employee he commenced to act act, as if he had been promoted to that higher paid position for the period in which the employee he acts, such pay to be determined in accordance with clauses 38.09 and 38.10.
(b) When a day designated as a paid holiday occurs during after the qualifying period set out in paragraph (a) abovedate the employee has commenced to act or prior to his ceasing to act, the holiday shall be considered as a day worked for purposes of the qualifying period.
(c) When An employee who is required to perform the employee is granted leave with duties of a position having a higher maximum rate of pay during than the qualifying period described in paragraph (a) above, such leave shall not break the qualifying period but shall extend it one held by an amount equal to the him for a period of leave with payone hour or more may accumulate the hours worked at the higher salary and shall be paid for each seven (7) hour period so accumulated.
