Acting Time. SECTION 46.1 When the Chief of Police or his designee determines it is necessary to temporarily assign an employee to perform the duties of a position above that which the employee currently holds for periods of more than five (5) days, such employee shall be paid the minimum pay rate of the higher classification, or at a pay rate which is four percent (4%) greater than the employee's current pay rate, whichever is greater.
