Training Time Sample Clauses

Training TimeWhen an employee is ordered by the County to attend training, the time spent in training shall be counted as hours worked. Training which takes place during off-duty hours with attendance voluntary is not hours worked.
Training TimeDepartment heads and/or delegated authority can assign nurses to participate in training and development programs as part of their regular job. The amount of time spent in programs of this nature is determined by the department head. Nurses may be allowed to participate in programs up to one hundred twenty (120) hours of work release time each fiscal year. The department head and/or delegated authority is authorized to grant release time for travel to and from training programs. If granted, the travel time is included within the one hundred twenty (120) hour maximum. At the department head and/or delegated authority's discretion, nurses may be granted a leave of absence for training that goes beyond the one hundred twenty (120) hour limitation provided the granting of such leave will benefit the State. Where orientation in-service training for the various disability groups exists in institutions and where staffing needs permit, the nurse upon their request shall receive release time for the in- service training. No overtime shall result from such training.
Training Time. ‌ An employee who is called to active training duty in the Armed Forces Reserve will be granted military leave of absence at normal pay for a period not exceeding twenty-one (21) days during such federal fiscal year (October 1 to September 30), provided that any such reservist shall present evidence to the District that s/he has made all reasonable efforts to arrange for such active training duty during the summer months or other District vacation periods. Such evidence should include correspondence which indicates an effort was made to arrange for training during nonstudent days.
Training TimeSection 1 Employees will participate in training at the official designated place, or such other places as may be required, and the employee shall be compensated for travel expenses in accordance with the provisions of Article 28. Section 2 The Town will use the employees on duty time to fulfill the requirement for training purposes. Section 3 Training time is not to be interpreted as including that time spent by the superior officers with an employee reviewing reports, evaluating an employees performance, or other matters relating to an individual employee, but is intended to encompass instruction and training required by the Department as a whole or section thereof.
Training Time. ‌ Employees scheduled to attend training classes of at least eight (8) hours shall be credited with working their entire shift. Should the training exceed eight (8) hours, no overtime will be awarded for training time. This applies to shifts of eight (8) hours or more; a day of training is equal to a day of regular work.
Training TimeThe District may assign any employee to training at his or her straight-time hourly rate, as the District deems necessary. Employees assigned training of less than eight (8) hours may be required to work all of their shift which does not conflict with the training time. Training time shall be considered as time worked for purposes of calculating overtime.
Training TimeAn employee paid an hourly rate shall be compensated for scheduled training time that is required by the Employer. This section does not apply to correspondence and self study time by the employees in an established apprenticeship program.
Training TimeSection 1. Time spent by an employee who is authorized with prior approval by the City to attend a course, lecture, or meeting, which directly relates to the employee's work shall be considered hours of work. Section 2. Any tuition or fee for such required course shall be paid by the City.
Training Time. When the Director assigns an Employee (“trainer”) to work twelve (12) hours or more to train a new hire, the trainer will receive two (2) hours of pay per twelve (12) hours at their straight time rate in addition to their regular pay. The training manual, training log, and the daily observation report (“DOR”) must both be used by the trainer in order to be eligible for the above additional compensation. The trainer compensation provided in this section may be received as additional pay or accumulated as compensatory time.
Training Time. 1. The City recognizes the importance of training for Unit members and strives to provide a minimum of two formal, career related training opportunities per year. Employee-requested and Department approved training will include tuition, per diem and coverage of normally scheduled shifts at City expense. Employees will not receive any overtime for requested training. Probationary employees will only be approved for classes needed to complete probation. The location of the approved training will be at the Department’s discretion. All approved training funded by the City is subject to budgetary limitations. 2. Mandatory training, scheduled by the Department, will be at the City’s expense, including any employee overtime pay. 3. Expenses incurred must be in accordance with City travel expense policy. In addition to training provided in item 1 above, employees may be granted relevant and job- related classes at the discretion of the Chief with the sharing of costs to be mutually agreed upon by the employee and Chief. 4. Employees returning from week long (40 hour) training programs to a regularly assigned shift, will be granted administrative time for the remainder of the shift that falls on the same day of their return from training. The employee may choose to work the shift.
