Common use of Additional Training and Related Matters Clause in Contracts

Additional Training and Related Matters. (i) This clause covers training matters that are agreed between the Parties. (ii) The Parties recognise that to increase the efficiency and productivity of the industry, a significant commitment to structured training and skills development is required. The Company recognises its obligation to contribute to the skills and knowledge base of the industry. (iii) The Parties will consult on the development of training programs which are consistent with the following: a. An Employee’s skills will be assessed against those required in the nationally recognised formal training package relevant to their employment. Any necessary training will be provided to attain the relevant nationally recognised formal qualification. b. Training provided will be consistent with the Company’s business requirements, relevant to the work of the Employees, consistent with the skills development of each Employee and with applicable national competency standards.
