Taking of Annual Leave. (a) An employee is entitled to take an amount of annual leave during a particular period if:
Taking of Annual Leave. The taking of annual leave will be subject to mutual agreement and at times convenient to requirements of projects. The employer by giving reasonable notice may require employees to take annual leave for an annual shutdown.

There will be an annual shutdown determined by the employer over the Christmas period. Employees who have not accrued sufficient leave for the shutdown will take the deficient period as leave without pay.

The Company will not otherwise unreasonably refuse an Employee’s request to take annual leave or refuse a request to take annual leave where the Employee has given at least 2 weeks notice of the intention to take annual leave.
