Common use of Adjustment of Assigned Shift Clause in Contracts

Adjustment of Assigned Shift. No full-time employee in the unit, 19 except for the exclusions listed below, shall be temporarily 20 assigned to work his/her regularly assigned shift at different hours 21 pursuant to Article 7, Section 7.1, for more than seven (7) days per 22 semester, or more than fourteen (14) days per year without the 23 consent of the employee, except in extenuating circumstances. In 24 order to constitute a shift change, the starting time shall differ by at 25 least one (1) hour from the employee’s normal starting time.
