Common use of Administration of Medication Clause in Contracts

Administration of Medication. Employees shall be responsible for the administration of prescribed medication to students under the following conditions: (a) The parent has requested the school's assistance in writing and signed a release concerning administration of the medication by the employee; (b) If required, the Health Unit has been informed and a medical alert card has been completed; (c) The employee has been appropriately trained in the administration of the medication; (d) The medication is stored safely and securely; (e) The medication is appropriately labeled and packaged by the dispensing pharmacy or physician; (f) The medication is accompanied by administration and side effect information; (g) Appropriate records are kept;
