Administrative Appointments. 4.1 Members who are excluded from the Bargaining Unit because they hold an administrative position shall enter or re-enter the Bargaining Unit upon leaving the position excluding them, and shall then be entitled to the rights under this Agreement. 4.2 No Member shall be displaced from the Bargaining Unit by the entry or re-entry of an academic administrator into the Bargaining Unit. 4.3 When an academic administrator enters or re-enters the Bargaining Unit, his/her terms of appointment (including salary and rank) shall not be inconsistent with the provisions of this Agreement.
Administrative Appointments. 15.1 In-scope administrative appointments include, but are not limited to, Department Heads, Area Representatives, and the appointment of an Assistant ▇▇▇▇. A regular administrative appointment is made for a term of up to three years. When a vacancy exists, either because there is no incumbent or because the incumbent is temporarily absent, the College may make an acting appointment for a period of not more than twelve months.

Administrative Appointments. (i) The Centre for Education shall post all vacant and unfilled administrative and supervisory positions on the Centre for Education’s website for at least five (5) calendar days prior to the closing date of applications. The posting is to be a separate posting and clearly titled administrative postings. (ii) All teachers are eligible to apply for positions pursuant to 23.1 (i). (iii) The Centre for Education shall post the name of the successful applicant on the Centre for Education’s website within twenty (20) days of the approval. 23.2 Promotion of teachers to supervisory positions shall be based upon abilities and qualifications and, where abilities and qualifications are shown to be relatively equal, seniority shall be the determining factor. 23.3 For greater certainty, neither this Article 23 nor other provisions of this Agreement apply to the selection process for any position with greater supervisory responsibility than a department head.
Administrative Appointments. In determining appointments for the positions of principal, head teacher, and any position which has responsibility for supervising teachers, the Superintendent will consult with a committee of teachers, chosen jointly by the Association and the Superintendent, representative of those who will be directly supervised by the person to be appointed.

The program of such workshops shall be established by the Committee on Employment Equity. b) The ▇▇▇▇ in consultation with the committee may appoint a Faculty Member to an administrative position in a Faculty as an Assistant ▇▇▇▇, a Department Chair, a Program Director, or a Program Coordinator. The ▇▇▇▇ of the Faculty shall set out the duties of the position with the Faculty Member. c) Once the selection for an administrative appointment has been made, the ▇▇▇▇ shall forward that recommendation to the ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ for approval. d) Normally an academic administrative appointment shall not exceed three (3) years in duration. e) A Faculty Member’s academic administrative appointment may be renewed by the ▇▇▇▇. f) Stipends or course releases for administrative appointments are set in accordance with Article 25.07. g) Acting Department Chairs/Program Directors/Program Coordinators may be appointed by the ▇▇▇▇ for short terms or in special circumstances. Such Appointments may not exceed a term of one (1) year, or until the process outlined in Article 15.05 has been completed, whichever is sooner.
