Common use of Administratively Initiated Transfer Clause in Contracts

Administratively Initiated Transfer. Administratively initiated transfers will be based on the following reasons: Overage in staff and/or critical need for special preparation in specific position classes, or as may otherwise be provided under official Board policies. In most cases, a transfer made because of critical need shall continue for the duration of said need. A supervisor affected by an administratively initiated transfer shall be given a fifteen (15) working day notice unless other arrangements are mutually agreed upon. A conference will be held between the appropriate management designee and the unit member prior to the effective date of the transfer. In the event that the administratively transferred unit member's former position becomes vacant, the unit member may apply for reinstatement in the position and shall be granted an interview before other applicants are considered.
