Adoption, Childbirth, Fostering and Guardianship Leave. 1. An employee may use up to twelve (12) consecutive weeks of leave per school year immediately following the birth of his/her/their child or associated with the process of adoption. 2. An employee may use up to twelve consecutive weeks of leave per school year for fostering or guardianship. This leave must be taken at the time the child(ren) is placed in the employee’s care. Appropriate documentation must be provided to the Office of Human Resources.
