Notwithstanding the various provisions of Article and Article the legal holidays mentioned in Article shall be compensated as follows: An employee who works on a statutory holiday shall be paid one and a half times the regular rate for the hours worked and in addition shall receive one day off with pay at the regular rate at a time mutually agreeable to the department head and the employee within thirty calendar days immediately preceding or following the statutory holiday, except in the case of Easter and Christmas when the time limit shall be within sixty calendar days preceding or following the statutory holiday. When a statutory holiday falls during an employee's vacation or days off, he will receive in lieu thereof one additional day off with pay at the regular rate on such day as shall be selected by the Corporation within the limits imposed by The Employment Standards Act.
