THE WORK DAY. The normal working day for certified personnel shall consist of eight consecutive hours beginning at 8:00 in the morning and ending at 4:00 in the afternoon. With the permission of the building principal, a teacher may arrange his/her eight-hour schedule differently.

a) The workday shall be the hours scheduled or assigned to a Technician for any given day, with a minimum of eight (8) work hours paid according to “Schedule 1” and/or a Technician’s Deal Memorandum. The work day shall start when a Technician reports at the call time, and ends at completion of a Technician’s call with a minimum of eight (8) work hours credited to the Technician’s weekly pay. The work day is not inclusive of Meal Breaks. If the work call extends beyond midnight (12:00 AM) it shall be considered as falling wholly within the calendar day in which it starts. Technicians shall hold themselves in readiness to work on the production during the period of the minimum call and any additional time that the Producer may require. No Department Head or Key may provide services on another production without the express written consent of the Producer.
7.02 One-Half (½) Day Call and Two (2) hour Call:
a) When scheduled in advance and at least prior to the end of the previous workday, the Producer may schedule a one- half (½) day call for the following: production meetings; training; sign writing; screening of rushes; screen-tests; script(s) timing; location surveys; and greens pre-placement for locations with restricted access and greens maintenance. If the Technician who is scheduled for the one-half (½) day call works four (4) hours or less, such Technician shall be paid for four (4) work hours according to “Schedule 1” of this Agreement and/or the Technician’s Deal Memorandum. Should a Technician who is scheduled for a one-half (½) day call work more than four (4) hours with the approval of the authorized representative of the Producer, the regular minimum pay for eight (8) work hours shall apply. In addition, the one-half (½) day call shall be subject to the following:
(i) A “one-half (½) day” call will in no way allow for split shifts; and
(ii) Should a position be recalled in the same day after a one-half (½) day call, the Technician will be deemed to have been working continuously from their original call, although for the purpose of Meal Premiums, their second six (6) hour work period would commence at the start of their recall.
b) When a Technician is required to complete Producer-provided training on a day when the Technician is not also working, and such sessions are made available on a virtual, on-demand basis, the Technician shall be paid for not less than two (2) hours pay at the Technician’s straight time contracted hourly ...

THE WORK DAY. Full-time employees are regularly assigned to work eight (8.0) hours per day, forty (40) hours per week and fifty-two (52) weeks per year with the understanding that more time may be needed to complete some tasks. The normal work day for full-time employees will be scheduled over 8.5 hours with a 30- minute duty free lunch period. Employees may be assigned a straight eight-hour shift based on the needs of the department. The specific work hours for each employee may vary according to the needs of the District. The hours will be designated by the appropriate supervisor. Employees shall be notified approximately two weeks before the start of the school year as to the assigned building, starting date, daily hours, wage rate and number of days employed, or as much of such information as has been determined at that time.
THE WORK DAY. The specific work hours for each employee may vary according to the needs of the custodial/maintenance program of the District. The hours will be designated by the Facilities Manager. Split shifts may be assigned with the consent of the employee.
THE WORK DAY. 1. All members of the bargaining unit shall work a seven and one-half (7 ½) or eight (8) hour day as determined by the Superintendent of Schools. Such work day shall include a thirty (30) minute lunch break and a fifteen (15) minute coffee break. Paid lunch time cannot be used to extend hours worked for that day. The work schedule shall not be changed arbitrarily during the year it is in operation. Substitutes shall be procured for any absent paraprofessional or administrative professional whenever possible and at the discretion of the Superintendent.
2. School paraprofessionals shall not ride busses on a regular basis.
3. The following are exceptions to this provision:
a. Preschool class(s) that meet for one half day session and one-to-one paraprofessional positions created to meet special education requirements as outlined in individual education plans. These shall be a minimum of four (4) hours daily.
b. A position where the length of the work day and number of days are deemed necessary to meet the educational objectives of the district. The hiring of two (2) or more part-time employees to do work that could as easily be performed by one (1) full-time employee shall be deemed a violation of this agreement.

A. During the lunch period, employees shall be relieved of all duties, including on-call duties. Security Staff, will however, respond to emergencies during the lunch period.

THE WORK DAY. 5 1. All teachers in the Unit will be required to be on campus at least the same length of 6 time required of K-8 grade classroom teachers. Unit members are to be in school 8 expected to remain after the instructional day a sufficient amount of time after the 9 children are released to take care of pupil needs; attend scheduled meetings with 10 parents, teachers, and/or administrators; and to participate in adjunct duties.
11 2. Unit members shall not be required to stand noon duty during the students’ lunch- 12 recess period, unless needed because a situation arises as determined by the principal 13 or designee (i.e., rainy day, absence of noon duty assistants, etc.).
14 3. Unit members will be provided with a daily, duty-free, uninterrupted lunch period of 15 thirty (30) minutes. Any interruption of the 30 minutes by the administration or 16 designee will result in the unit member being given a new continuous 30 minute 17 lunch as soon as possible on the same day.
18 4. Discipline problems arising during the unit member’s duty-free lunch or the students’ 19 lunch-recess period shall be handled by the classroom teacher or through the use of 20 the school’s discipline plan.
