Common use of Annual progression Clause in Contracts

Annual progression. (a) Except as otherwise provided, progression from one (1) step to a higher step shall be by annual increment for a full-time teacher or assistant. (b) A part-time or casual employee (teacher or assistant) will progress to the next increment following the completion of 1,000 contact hours. (c) Clerical/Administration Employees (i) A clerical/administration employee will progress from year one to year two on the basis of one (1) years’ service, or the equivalent of one (1) year where the employee is not full time. (ii) A clerical/administration employee with experience will be appointed to a grade which corresponds to their number of years of service, or equivalent as a clerical/administration employee. (iii) The classification of an employee must be according to the skill level or levels required to be exercised in order to carry out the principal functions of the employment as determined by the employer.
