Annual Safety Shoe Allowance. Safety shoes are defined as a shoe with a steel or composite toe and non-skid soles. Before purchasing shoes, the bargaining unit member will consult with their supervisor as to what shoes are recommended for the job. The District will provide a safety shoe allowance per fiscal year as follows:
