  • Communication during parental leave (a) Where an employee is on parental leave and a definite decision has been made to introduce significant change at the workplace, the employer shall take reasonable steps to: (i) make information available in relation to any significant effect the change will have on the status or responsibility level of the position the employee held before commencing parental leave; and (ii) provide an opportunity for the employee to discuss any significant effect the change will have on the status or responsibility level of the position the employee held before commencing parental leave. (b) The employee shall take reasonable steps to inform the employer about any significant matter that will affect the employee’s decision regarding the duration of parental leave to be taken, whether the employee intends to return to work and whether the employee intends to request to return to work on a part-time basis. (c) The employee shall also notify the employer of changes of address or other contact details which might affect the employer’s capacity to comply with (a) above.

  • Notice and contest of claims In the event that either Party receives a claim or demand from a third party in respect of which it is entitled to the benefit of an indemnity under this Article 38 (the "Indemnified Party") it shall notify the other Party (the "Indemnifying Party") within 15 (fifteen) days of receipt of the claim or demand and shall not settle or pay the claim without the prior approval of the Indemnifying Party, which approval shall not be unreasonably withheld or delayed.   • Preliminary Examination 24.1 The Purchaser will examine the bids to determine whether they are complete, whether any computational errors have been made, whether required sureties have been furnished, whether the documents have been properly signed, and whether the bids are generally in order. 24.2 Arithmetical errors will be rectified on the following basis. If there is a discrepancy between the unit price and the total price that is obtained by multiplying the unit price and quantity, the unit price shall prevail, and the total price shall be corrected. If the Supplier does not accept the correction of the errors, its bid will be rejected, and its bid security may be forfeited. If there is a discrepancy between words and figures, the amount in words will prevail. 24.3 The Purchaser may waive any minor informality, nonconformity, or irregularity in a bid which does not constitute a material deviation, provided such waiver does not prejudice or affect the relative ranking of any Bidder. 24.4 Prior to the detailed evaluation, pursuant to ITB Clause 25 the Purchaser will determine the substantial responsiveness of each bid to the bidding documents. For purposes of these Clauses, a substantially responsive bid is one which conforms to all the terms and conditions of the bidding documents without material deviations. Deviations from, or objections or reservations to critical provisions, such as those concerning Bid Security (ITB Clause 15), Applicable Law (GCC Clause 30), and Taxes and Duties (GCC Clause 32), will be deemed to be a material deviation. The Purchaser’s determination of a bid’s responsiveness is to be based on the contents of the bid itself without recourse to extrinsic evidence.

  • Government Code Claim Requirement No suit for money or damages may be brought against the City until a written claim therefor has been presented to and rejected by the City in conformity with the provisions of San Francisco Administrative Code Chapter 10 and California Government Code Section 900, et seq. Nothing set forth in this Agreement shall operate to toll, waive or excuse Contractor’s compliance with the California Government Code Claim requirements set forth in San Francisco Administrative Code Chapter 10 and California Government Code Section 900, et seq.

  • LOAN OF GOVERNMENT PROPERTY The parties shall enter into a NASA Form 893, Loan of NASA Equipment, for NASA equipment loaned to Partner.
