Common use of Appearance and Representation Clause in Contracts

Appearance and Representation. Meetings or hearings held under this Article shall be conducted at a time and place that is mutually acceptable to the parties, including the individual grievant, and which will afford a reasonable opportunity for all persons entitled to be present, to attend. In the event such a meeting or hearing is held during school hours, any bargaining unit member who is required to attend such meeting because he or she is a grievant, Congress representative designated under paragraph 1, Section (c) of this Article, or a witness whose presence is required by the Authority conducting the meeting or hearing, shall be excused with pay, for such purpose.
