APPLICABLE STANDARDS FOR DISCIPLINE. The Employer may discharge or take other disciplinary action for just cause against a non-Trial Period Regular or Fixed Term employee. Recognizing that circumstances differ, the Employer will not unduly delay taking disciplinary action once the conduct or occurrence giving rise to the action becomes known. The Employer will conduct its investigation diligently and consistent with the circumstances. The Employer may discharge or take other disciplinary action against Trial Period employees, Relief employees, and Temporary employees for any reason it deems appropriate in its discretion, subject to the Relief employee’s right to request review as provided in Section 22.6. If the Employer suspends an employee during an investigation and such suspension does not result in discipline, the Employer will pay for each scheduled day of work such employee was suspended.
