Common use of Appointment of Shop Xxxxxxx of Union Clause in Contracts

Appointment of Shop Xxxxxxx of Union. The Union shall have the right to appoint an employee representative in designated departments who shall be recognized by the Employer as having authority to report irregularities in interpretation or application of this agreement to the Union and to assist the staff of the Union in the adjustment of grievances. Said representative shall not be discriminated against for discharging duties assigned by the Union, it being understood that performance of such duties shall not materially interfere with performance of the employee's normal duties.
