Common use of Article Meal Periods Clause in Contracts

Article Meal Periods. (The length of the meal period to be determined locally.) Article Sick Leave and (Applicable to Full-Time Employees Only) The short-term sick leave plan will provide payment for the number of hours of absence according to the scheduled tour to a total of hours. All other provisions of the existing plan shall apply mutatis mutandis. Holiday pay will be computed on the basis of the employee's regular straight time hourly rate of pay times the number of hours for a normal or standard work day as set out in Article (a). An employee required to work on any of the designated holidays listed in the collective agreement shall be paid at the rate of time and one- half (1%) his regular straight time rate of pay for all hours worked on such holiday, subject to Article In addition, he will receive a lieu day off with pay in the amount of his regular straight time hourly rate of pay times seven and one-half (7%) hours, except in those hospitals which have a standard work day of less than seven and one-half (7%) hours in which case holiday pay will be based on the standard daily hours in that hospital.
