Associate Professors. The highest degree or its equivalent generally required for the discipline in which the Faculty Member has been hired to teach, or equivalent professional qualifications; • normally a minimum of five years relevant teaching experience at the post- secondary level as an Assistant Professor or equivalent; • a suitable professional record of practice and/or scholarly activity. An Associate Professor may apply for the rank of Professor after a minimum of three years as an Associate Professor. In exceptional circumstances, a lesser period may be considered. Progression is subject to the tenure and promotion review process.
Associate Professors. Eligibility for equity distribution for associate professors is limited to those associate professors whose 2019/2020 base salary is lower than ($88,000; Equity increase for associate professors = ($88,000 – 2019/2020 base salary) x .20.
Associate Professors. All qualifications outlined in Article 10.01.1; and • normally a minimum of five years relevant teaching experience at the post- secondary level as an Assistant Professor or equivalent; and • a suitable professional record of practice and/or scholarly activity that brings to the public realm and mobilizes their work in the appropriate communities of practice, with demonstrated relevance.
Associate Professors. In addition to the position-related supplement, associate professors may be awarded the following types of qualifications supplements: Associate professor supplements A, B and C. In addition, a special M supplement may be awarded. The purpose of awarding a qualifications supplement is to retain qualified associate professors and to provide a financial incentive for continued development of the employee's research, teaching and administrative qualifications and competencies. To qualify for supplement B, the employee must first have received supplement A. Similarly, to qualify for supplement C, the employee must first have received supplements A and B. Normally, only one supplement is awarded at a time. Associate professor supplement A Criteria In addition to the general criteria described on page 4, when awarding associate professor supplement A, it is expected that the employee's performance has been satisfactory within two or more of the four core areas: research, education, talent development and knowledge exchange. Examples of a satisfactory performance within the four core areas include:
Associate Professors. The-University will select four individuals for the Associate Professor positions by Spring 2022. The individuals holding the Associate Professor position will engage in research, teaching, and community outreach related to the Institute's Mission. This work will include devoting a significant amount of time and resources to work related to the Institute. Distinguished Full Professors The University will select two individuals for the Distinguished Full Professor positions by Spring 2022. The individuals holding the Distinguished tfull Professor position will engage in research, teaching, and community outreach related to the Institute's Mission. This work will include devoting a significant amount of time and resources to work related to the Institute. Faculty Support and Resea1·ch Staff The Institute will support the research, teaching, and professional engagement of the core faculty members from any University department interested in work related to the Institute's mission.

Associate Professors. After receiving the 2019-2020 4% raise, $100 per year in rank will be added to the base salary of all Associate Professors, up to 6 years. A 6-year cap encourages Associate Professors to apply for promotion to Full Professor.
