Authorization to Attend Conferences, Conventions, Training Sessions. Workshops. Any employee desiring the authorization to attend a conference, convention, training session, workshop or related function must secure prior approval from the Chief of Police or his designee and the Village Manager. The Employer may approve or deny any such request. Reimbursement for travel or other expenses incurred in connection with attendance at such functions shall be made at the discretion of the Employer and be subject to the employee’s compliance with any applicable policies, rules or regulations established by the Employer.
