The Subscriber may: • print and deliver book chapters from the ScienceDirect Subscribed Products to fulfill requests as part of the practice commonly known as "interlibrary loan" from non­commercial libraries located within the samé country as the Subscriber. The Subscriber: • (i) may extract and index Data (as defined below) from the articles authored by Authorized Users included in the Subscribed Products, to index in the user interface of the Subscriber's product by implementing both the SD Search API and the SD Article Entitlement AP I (see xxxx://xxx.xxxxxxxx.xxx/sd apis.html), and store in perpetuity in the Subscriber's secure database systém that the Subscriber uses to collect, preserve and disseminate information about the intellectual output of the Subscriber's institute(s) ("Institutional Repository") and to publically display Snippets (as defined below), provided that: (a) the display of any Data will at all times include (if available) the associated Digital Object Identifier ("DOI"), and (b) links are incorporated in the Data to the relevant article landing page in the Subscribed Product from which such Data was extracted by which such link to the Subscribed Product is displayed more prominently than the links to other versions of the article, and (c) the indexes only include Data and no other parts of the full text articles, and (d) the Subscriber will provide on a monthly basis to Elsevier complete and accurate usage data reports on the Subscriber's Institutional Repository usage activity in a mutually agreed upon formát which will at a minimum specify preprint and author manuscripts usage, during the pilot period of six (6) months. (ii) is obligated to remove illicit versi ons of full text articles upon Elsevier's request and allowElsevier to review the implementation of the Data into the Institutional Repository. Elsevierwill háve the right to suggest improvements to the display and ranking o f the search results forthe articles that are available in ScienceDirect. "Data" will be limited to the following: index terms, bibliographic information, headers, references, digital object identifiers, footnotes, acknowledgements, keywords, author affiliation. Snippets (as defined below) and abstracts, or any other data when included, of the full text articles. (c) The Licensee and the indexes only include Data Participating Institutions acknowledges that the Licensed Materials and no other parts the Intellectual Property Rights contained therein are protected by law. All rights not specifically provided herein to the Licensee and the Participating Institutions are expressly reserved by the Publisher. The contents of the full text articles, andLicensed Materials are solely for non-commercial use of the Authorized Users. (d) Roaming Access – enables the Subscriber will provide Authorized Users access to the Licensed Materials from outside the IP address range of the Participating Institutions. The Authorized Users must sign up for this service and renew every 90 days. Elsevierwill háve Authorized Users have the right to suggest improvements use, with appropriate credit, figures, tables and brief excerpts from individual articles, chapters or other entries from the Licensed Material in the Authorized User’s own scientific, scholarly and educational works such as books and articles. (g) All Authorized Users have the option to create a My Profile Page which will allow them to create data files and links to articles, chapters and entries of interest in the Licensed Materials, and search criteria which may be reused by them. In order to do so, the Authorized User will have to select and register a user name and password which the Authorized User must keep confidential and not disclose to or share with anyone else. The Authorized Users who are members of the Participating Institutions’s faculty or staff may download and print out multiple copies of material from the Licensed Materials for the purpose of making a multi- source collection of information for classroom use (course-pack) or a virtual learning environment, to be distributed to students at the Participating Institutions free of charge or at a cost-based fee. The Materials from the Licensed Materials may also be stored in electronic format in secure electronic data files for access by the Authorized Users who are students at the Participating Institutions, as part of their course work, so long as reasonable access control methods are employed such as user name and password. The Participating Institutions’s library staff may supply to another library, upon request by that library, either a single paper copy (by post or fax) or an electronic copy of an individual document from the Licensed Material, for the purpose of research or private study. The electronic copy must be supplied by secure electronic transmission (like Ariel) and must be deleted by the recipient library immediately after printing a paper copy of the document for its user. (h) If an Authorized User fails to abide by these Terms and Conditions of Use or other terms of this Agreement, or the Participating institution hosts an IP address or range of addresses that have been identified as abusive or malicious, the Publisher reserves the right in its sole discretion to suspend or terminate such Authorized User’s access to the display Licensed Materials and ranking o f the search results forthe articles that are Licensed Materials by such Authorized User or IP address(es) immediately without notice, in addition to any other available remedies. Where Snippets and/or bibliographic metadata are distributed, they should be accompanied by a DOI link or an alternative attribution via other means that refers to the individual full text article. Where images are used the Institution should clear the rights for reuse with the relevant copyright owner and/or rights holder. Each Authorized User may: access, search, browse and view the Subscribed Products; print, download and store a reasonable portion of individual items from the Subscribed Products for the exclusive use of such Authorized User User;  incorporate links to die the Subscribed Products on the Subscriber's ’s intranet and internet websites and in electronic coursepacks, reserves and course management systems and instructor websites, provided that the appearance of such links and/or statements accompanying such [inks wil l links will be changed as reasonably requested by Elsevier store Elsevier;  provide print or electronic copies of individual journal articles items from the ScienceDirect Subscribed Products in the private library of a sociál networking site for the to other Authorized Useť s own personál use only: share individual journal articles from the ScienceDirect Subscribed Products with third Users and to third-party colleagues individually for their scholarly or research use; share individual journal articles from the ScienceDirect Subscribed Products with a limited number of third party colleagues as part of an invitation only working group on non­ commercial platforms or tools, for personál, scholarly or research use; and access, search, browse, view, print, make electronic copies and store for the exclusive use of such Authorized User or, if the Authorized User is a librarian/information specialist, for the exclusive use of another Authorized User certain journal articles and book chapters from the ScienceDirect® online service that are not subscribed to as part of the Subscribed Products, with each twenty­four twenty-four (24) hour access period for a selected article or chapter, a "Transaction"”; and  incorporate links to the Subscribed Products in electronic course-packs, reserves and course management systems for use in connection with courses offered by the Subscriber for academic credit. The Subscriber may: print and deliver journal articles from Subscribed Titles (as defined herein) and, if any, book chapters from the ScienceDirect Subscribed Products to fulfill requests from non-commercial libraries located within the same country as the Subscriber as part of the practice commonly known as "interlibrary loan" from non­commercial libraries located within ” whereby the samé country as requested article is supplied by secure electronic transmission, using Ariel or its equivalent, whereby the Subscriberelectronic file is deleted immediately after printing. The Subscriber: (i) may extract and index Data (as defined below) from the articles authored by Authorized Users included in the Subscribed Products, to index in the user interface of the Subscriber's ’s product by implementing both the SD Search API and the SD Article Entitlement AP I API (see xxxx://xxx.xxxxxxxx.xxx/sd apis.htmlxxxx://xxx.xxxxxxxx.xxx/sd_apis.html), and store in perpetuity in the Subscriber's ’s secure database systém system that the Subscriber uses to collect, preserve and disseminate information about the intellectual output of the Subscriber's ’s institute(s) ("Institutional Repository") and to publically display Snippets (as defined below), provided that: : (a) the display of any Data will at all times include (if available) the associated Digital Object Identifier ("DOI"), and and (b) links are incorporated in the Data to the relevant article landing page in the Subscribed Product from which such Data was extracted by which such link to the Subscribed Product is displayed more prominently than the links to other versions of the article, and and (c) the indexes only include Data and no other parts of the full text articles, and and (d) the Subscriber will provide on a monthly basis to Elsevier complete and accurate usage data reports on the Subscriber's ’s Institutional Repository usage activity in a mutually agreed upon formát format which will at a minimum specify preprint and author manuscripts usage, during the pilot period of six (6) months. (ii) is obligated to remove illicit versi ons of full text articles upon Elsevier's request and allowElsevier to review the implementation of the Data into the Institutional Repository. Elsevierwill háve the right to suggest improvements to the display and ranking o f the search results forthe articles that are available in ScienceDirect. "Data" will be limited to the following: index terms, bibliographic information, headers, references, digital object identifiers, footnotes, acknowledgements, keywords, author affiliation. Snippets (as defined below) and abstracts, or any other data when included, of the full text articles. Abstracts may only be displayed on the abstract records on the Subscriber data's websites, all other services of the Institutional Repository, such as (but not limited to) alerts, e­ mail services and APFs may only display Snippets but not abstracts.

The Subscriber may: ▪ print and deliver journal articles from Subscribed Titles (as defined herein) and, if any, book chapters from the ScienceDirect Subscribed Products to fulfill requests as part of the practice commonly known as “interlibrary loan” from non-commercial libraries located within the same country as the Subscriber, provided that such print and delivery is without commercial gain and not routinely or systematically provided (whether on one occasion or over a period of time) in such a manner or in such quantities as to substitute for a subscription by the receiving library or the end user. ▪ print and deliver book chapters from the ScienceDirect Subscribed Products to fulfill requests as part of the practice commonly known as "interlibrary loan" from non­commercial non-commercial libraries located within the samé same country as the Subscriber.
