Authorized Uses. Each Authorized User may: • access, search, browse and view the Subscribed Products; • print, download and store a reasonable portion of individual items from the Subscribed Products for the exclusive use of such Authorized User incorporate links to die Subscribed Products on the Subscriber's intranet and internet websites and in electronic coursepacks, reserves and course management systems and instructor websites, provided that the appearance of such links and/or statements accompanying such [inks wil l be changed as reasonably requested by Elsevier store individual journal articles from the ScienceDirect Subscribed Products in the private library of a sociál networking site for the Authorized Useť s own personál use only: share individual journal articles from the ScienceDirect Subscribed Products with third party colleagues individually for their scholarly or research use; share individual journal articles from the ScienceDirect Subscribed Products with a limited number of third party colleagues as part of an invitation only working group on non­ commercial platforms or tools, for personál, scholarly or research use; and access, search, browse, view, print, make electronic copies and store for the exclusive use of such Authorized User or, if the Authorized User is a librarian/information specialist, for the exclusive use of another Authorized User certain journal articles and book chapters from the ScienceDirect® online service that are not subscribed to as part of the Subscribed Products, with each twenty­four (24) hour access period for a selected article or chapter, a "Transaction". The Subscriber may: • print and deliver book chapters from the ScienceDirect Subscribed Products to fulfill requests as part of the practice commonly known as "interlibrary loan" from non­commercial libraries located within the samé country as the Subscriber. The Subscriber: • (i) may extract and index Data (as defined below) from the articles authored by Authorized Users included in the Subscribed Products, to index in the user interface of the Subscriber's product by implementing both the SD Search API and the SD Article Entitlement AP I (see xxxx://xxx.xxxxxxxx.xxx/sd apis.html), and store in perpetuity in the Subscriber's secure database systém that the Subscriber uses to collect, preserve and disseminate information about the intellectual output of the Subscriber's institute(s) ("Institutional Repository") and to publically display Snippets (as defined below), provided that: (a) the display of any Data will at all times include (if available) the associated Digital Object Identifier ("DOI"), and (b) links are incorporated in the Data to the relevant article landing page in the Subscribed Product from which such Data was extracted by which such link to the Subscribed Product is displayed more prominently than the links to other versions of the article, and (c) the indexes only include Data and no other parts of the full text articles, and (d) the Subscriber will provide on a monthly basis to Elsevier complete and accurate usage data reports on the Subscriber's Institutional Repository usage activity in a mutually agreed upon formát which will at a minimum specify preprint and author manuscripts usage, during the pilot period of six (6) months. (ii) is obligated to remove illicit versi ons of full text articles upon Elsevier's request and allowElsevier to review the implementation of the Data into the Institutional Repository. Elsevierwill háve the right to suggest improvements to the display and ranking o f the search results forthe articles that are available in ScienceDirect. "Data" will be limited to the following: index terms, bibliographic information, headers, references, digital object identifiers, footnotes, acknowledgements, keywords, author affiliation. Snippets (as defined below) and abstracts, or any other data when included, of the full text articles. Abstracts may only be displayed on the abstract records on the Subscriber data's websites, all other services of the Institutional Repository, such as (but not limited to) alerts, e­ mail services and APFs may only display Snippets but not abstracts.

The Subscriber: • (i) may extract ’s staff reviews the requests and index Data (as defined below) from fulfills the articles authored by Authorized Users included requests in the Subscribed Products, to index in the user interface compliance with Section 108 of the Subscriber's product by implementing both the SD Search API U.S. Copyright Law (17 U.S.C. § 108) and the SD Article Entitlement AP I Guidelines for the Proviso of Subsection 108(g)(2) (see xxxx://xxx.xxxxxxxx.xxx/sd apis.html), and store in perpetuity in the Subscriber's secure database systém that the Subscriber uses to collect, preserve and disseminate information about the intellectual output Final Report of the Subscriber's institute(s) ("Institutional Repository") and to publically display Snippets (as defined belowNational Commission on New Technological Uses of Copyrighted Works, 1978), provided that: (a) the display of any Data will at all times include (if available) the associated Digital Object Identifier ("DOI"), and (b) links are incorporated in the Data to the relevant article landing page in the Subscribed Product from which such Data was extracted by which such link to the Subscribed Product is displayed more prominently than the links to other versions of the article, and (c) the indexes only include Data and no other parts of the full text articles, and (d) the Subscriber will provide on a monthly basis to Elsevier complete and accurate usage data reports on the Subscriber's Institutional Repository usage activity in a mutually agreed upon formát which will at a minimum specify preprint and author manuscripts usage, during the pilot period of six (6) months. Documentation; (ii) display clear indicators informing users of the Institutional Repository in case they are entitled to the Published Journal Article next to each instance where Data are displayed;

The Subscriber: • (i) may extract and index Data (Term as defined below) from , a non-exclusive, non-transferable right and to access and use to access, via the articles authored by Authorized Users included Licensed Materials, the full text and other material such as datasets published online in the Subscribed Products, to index Licensed Materials for the Licensed Materials as listed in the user interface of the Subscriber's product by implementing both the SD Search API and the SD Article Entitlement AP I (see xxxx://xxx.xxxxxxxx.xxx/sd apis.html), and store in perpetuity in the Subscriber's secure database systém that the Subscriber uses Appendices attached hereto as may be amended from time to collect, preserve and disseminate information about the intellectual output of the Subscriber's institute(s) ("Institutional Repository") and to publically display Snippets (as defined below), provided that: (a) the display of any Data will at all times include (if available) the associated Digital Object Identifier ("DOI"), andtime. (b) links are incorporated in In addition, the Data Authorized Users will have access to all available tables of contents, article abstracts, chapter summaries and associated websites for all Electronic Products on the relevant article landing page in the Subscribed Product from which such Data was extracted by which such link to the Subscribed Product is displayed more prominently than the links to other versions of the article, andLicensed Material. (c) The Licensee and the indexes only include Data Participating Institutions acknowledges that the Licensed Materials and no other parts the Intellectual Property Rights contained therein are protected by law. All rights not specifically provided herein to the Licensee and the Participating Institutions are expressly reserved by the Publisher. (d) Roaming Access – enables the Subscriber will provide Authorized Users access to the Licensed Materials from outside the IP address range of the Participating Institutions. The Authorized Users must sign up for this service and renew every 90 days. The Authorized Users may also access content remotely using the Shibboleth authentication system (when available on a monthly basis to Elsevier complete and accurate usage data reports Material or its successor platform) or through remote authentication on the Subscriber's Institutional Repository usage activity in a mutually agreed upon formát which will at a minimum specify preprint and author manuscripts usage, during the pilot period of six (6) monthsParticipating Institutions Secure Network. (iie) is obligated The rights and restrictions governing access to remove illicit versi ons the Licensed Materials by the Participating Institutions and its Authorized Users are outlined in the Terms and Conditions of full text articles upon Elsevier's request Use below. (f) The Authorized Users may download, search, retrieve, display and allowElsevier view, copy and save to review Secure Network or other electronic storage media and store or print out single copies of individual articles, chapters or entries in the implementation of Licensed Materials for the Data into Authorized User’s own personal use, scholarly, educational or scientific research or internal business use. The Authorized Users may also transmit such material to a third-party colleague in hard copy or electronically, for personal use or scholarly, educational, or scientific research or professional use but in no case for re-sale, systematic distribution, e.g. posting on a list serve, network (including distribution through social networking websites and scholarly collaboration networks, except for those that have agreed to Wiley’s Article Sharing Policy found here: xxxxx://xxxxxxxxxxxxx.xxxxx.xxx/researchers/tools- resources/article-sharing and solely in accordance therewith) or automated delivery, or for any other use. In addition, the Institutional Repository. Elsevierwill háve Authorized Users have the right to suggest improvements use, with appropriate credit, figures, tables and brief excerpts from individual articles, chapters or other entries from the Licensed Material in the Authorized User’s own scientific, scholarly and educational works such as books and articles. (g) All Authorized Users have the option to create a My Profile Page which will allow them to create data files and links to articles, chapters and entries of interest in the Licensed Materials, and search criteria which may be reused by them. In order to do so, the Authorized User will have to select and register a user name and password which the Authorized User must keep confidential and not disclose to or share with anyone else. The Authorized Users who are members of the Participating Institutions’s faculty or staff may download and print out multiple copies of material from the Licensed Materials for the purpose of making a multi- source collection of information for classroom use (course-pack) or a virtual learning environment, to be distributed to students at the Participating Institutions free of charge or at a cost-based fee. The Materials from the Licensed Materials may also be stored in electronic format in secure electronic data files for access by the Authorized Users who are students at the Participating Institutions, as part of their course work, so long as reasonable access control methods are employed such as user name and password. The Participating Institutions’s library staff may supply to another library, upon request by that library, either a single paper copy (by post or fax) or an electronic copy of an individual document from the Licensed Material, for the purpose of research or private study. The electronic copy must be supplied by secure electronic transmission (like Ariel) and must be deleted by the recipient library immediately after printing a paper copy of the document for its user. (h) If an Authorized User fails to abide by these Terms and Conditions of Use or other terms of this Agreement, or the Participating institution hosts an IP address or range of addresses that have been identified as abusive or malicious, the Publisher reserves the right in its sole discretion to suspend or terminate such Authorized User’s access to the display Licensed Materials and ranking o f the search results forthe articles that are Licensed Materials by such Authorized User or IP address(es) immediately without notice, in addition to any other available remedies. Except in ScienceDirect. "Data" will be limited the case of a material breach which the Publisher deems dangerous to the following: index terms, bibliographic information, headers, references, digital object identifiers, footnotes, acknowledgements, keywords, author affiliation. Snippets (as defined below) integrity and abstractssecurity of the Licensed Materials, or for a breach which, if not immediately remedied, is objectively likely to continue to cause damage, the Distributor shall give prior written notice to the Licensee and the Participating Institutions of its intention to terminate such Authorized User’s access and shall allow the Participating Institutions and/or the Authorized User 30 days after receipt of such notice to cure the breach or agree to abide by the terms and conditions of this Agreement. The Licensee or the Participating Institutions shall notify the Distributor or the Publisher when malicious credentials associated with offending IP address(es) have been remediated. The Publisher shall immediately restore services upon notification that credentials associated with the abusive or malicious activity have been remediated. (i) Except with respect to material published on an open access basis, or based on a separate authorisation by another license agreement, neither the Participating Institutions nor any Authorized User shall have the right to incorporate any material from the Licensed Materials into any institutional or other data when included, of repository. Author agreements are separately negotiated with the full text articles. Abstracts Publisher and include provisions about what authors may only be displayed on and may not do with respect to materials authored by them and published by the abstract records on the Subscriber data's websites, all other services of the Institutional Repository, such as (but not limited to) alerts, e­ mail services and APFs may only display Snippets but not abstractsPublisher.1.

Authorized Uses. Each Authorized User may: • ▪ access, search, browse and view the Subscribed Products; • ▪ print, download download, save and store a reasonable portion of individual items from the Subscribed Products for the exclusive use of such Authorized User User; ▪ incorporate links to die the Subscribed Products on the Subscriber's ’s intranet and internet websites and in electronic coursepacks, reserves and course management systems and instructor websites, provided that the appearance of such links and/or statements accompanying such [inks wil l links will be changed as reasonably requested by Elsevier Elsevier; ▪ provide print or electronic copies of individual items from the Subscribed Products to other Authorized Users and to third-party colleagues for their scholarly or research use; ▪ store individual journal articles from the ScienceDirect Subscribed Products in the private library of a sociál social networking site for the Authorized Useť s User’s own personál personal use only: ; ▪ share individual journal articles from the ScienceDirect Subscribed Products with third party colleagues individually for their scholarly or research use; ▪ share individual journal articles from the ScienceDirect Subscribed Products with a limited number of third party colleagues as part of an invitation only working group on non­ non- commercial platforms or tools, for personálpersonal, scholarly or research use; and ▪ access, search, browse, view, print, make electronic copies and store for the exclusive use of such Authorized User or, if the Authorized User is a librarian/information specialist, for the exclusive use of another Authorized User certain journal articles and book chapters from the ScienceDirect® online service that are not subscribed to as part of the Subscribed Products, with each twenty­four twenty- four (24) hour access period for a selected article or chapter, a "“Transaction".”; and ▪ if the Authorized User is a librarian/information specialist, access, search, browse, view, print, make electronic copies and store a Transaction for the exclusive use of another Authorized User. The Subscriber may: • ▪ print and deliver journal articles from Subscribed Titles (as defined herein) and, if any, book chapters from the ScienceDirect Subscribed Products to fulfill requests as part of the practice commonly known as "“interlibrary loan" ” from non­commercial non-commercial libraries located within the samé same country as the Subscriber. The Subscriber: • (i) may extract and index Data (as defined below) from the articles authored by Authorized Users included in the Subscribed Products, to index in the user interface of the Subscriber's product by implementing both the SD Search API and the SD Article Entitlement AP I (see xxxx://xxx.xxxxxxxx.xxx/sd apis.html), and store in perpetuity in the Subscriber's secure database systém that the Subscriber uses to collect, preserve and disseminate information about the intellectual output of the Subscriber's institute(s) ("Institutional Repository") and to publically display Snippets (as defined below), provided that: that such print and delivery is without commercial gain and not routinely or systematically provided (a) the display of any Data will at all times include (if available) the associated Digital Object Identifier ("DOI"), and (b) links are incorporated in the Data to the relevant article landing page in the Subscribed Product from which such Data was extracted by which such link to the Subscribed Product is displayed more prominently than the links to other versions of the article, and (c) the indexes only include Data and no other parts of the full text articles, and (d) the Subscriber will provide whether on one occasion or over a monthly basis to Elsevier complete and accurate usage data reports on the Subscriber's Institutional Repository usage activity in a mutually agreed upon formát which will at a minimum specify preprint and author manuscripts usage, during the pilot period of six (6time) monthsin such a manner or in such quantities as to substitute for a subscription by the receiving library or the end user. (ii) is obligated to remove illicit versi ons of full text articles upon Elsevier's request and allowElsevier to review the implementation of the Data into the Institutional Repository. Elsevierwill háve the right to suggest improvements to the display and ranking o f the search results forthe articles that are available in ScienceDirect. "Data" will be limited to the following: index terms, bibliographic information, headers, references, digital object identifiers, footnotes, acknowledgements, keywords, author affiliation. Snippets (as defined below) and abstracts, or any other data when included, of the full text articles. Abstracts may only be displayed on the abstract records on the Subscriber data's websites, all other services of the Institutional Repository, such as (but not limited to) alerts, e­ mail services and APFs may only display Snippets but not abstracts.

Authorized Uses. Each Authorized User may: • ▪ access, search, browse browse, view and view display to other Authorized Users, the Subscribed Products; • ▪ print, download photocopy, download, electronically save and store a reasonable portion of individual items from the Subscribed Products for the exclusive use of such Authorized User a reasonable amount of articles, abstracts or records, from the Subscribed Products (“Excerpts”), this exclusive use will include the use by teaching staff of such Excerpts in electronic presentations and the right to present such electronic presentations during lectures for credited courses, but will explicitly exclude the provision of copies of such presentations and/or Excerpts to Authorized Users, unless permitted under this Section 1.3; ▪ incorporate links to die the Subscribed Products and/or Excerpts on the Subscriber's Institution’s intranet and internet websites and incorporate both links and downloaded articles and abstracts in electronic coursepacks, reserves and course management systems and instructor websiteswebsites and printed articles and abstracts in printed coursepacks, provided that the downloaded and printed content shall carry appropriate acknowledgement of the source, title, author and publisher and that the appearance of such links and/or statements accompanying such [inks wil l links shall be changed as reasonably requested by Elsevier store individual journal articles and the Institution obtains the prior written consent of Elsevier for use in connection with any non-credit courses; the Institution and its Authorized Users may in addition offer coursepacks in non-electronic, non-print perceptible form, such as audio or Braille, to Authorized Users who are reading impaired; ▪ provide print or electronic copies (including via email) of Excerpts from the ScienceDirect Subscribed Products in the private library of a sociál networking site for the to other Authorized Useť s own personál use only: share individual journal articles from the ScienceDirect Subscribed Products with third Users and to third-party colleagues individually for their scholarly or research use. This sharing must be incidental and non-systematic; share individual journal articles from the ScienceDirect Subscribed Products with a limited number of third party colleagues as part of an invitation only working group on non­ commercial platforms or tools, for personál, scholarly or research use; and ▪ access, search, browse, view, print, make electronic copies and store for the exclusive use of such Authorized User or, if the Authorized User is a librarian/information specialist, for the exclusive use of another Authorized User User, certain journal articles and book chapters from the ScienceDirect® online service that are not subscribed to as part of the Subscribed Products, with each twenty­four twenty-four (24) hour access period for a selected article or chapter, a "“Transaction"”; ▪ use Braille displays, voice synthesizers and other devices to enable the use of the Subscribed Products; ▪ access the text and data mining service online via an API at xxxx://xxx.xxxxxxxx.xxx and to download and save the full-text articles for text and data mining purposes for access and use by the Authorised User or the Institution the Authorised User is affiliated with; ▪ continuously and automatically extract semantic entities from such full-text articles retrieved through the text and data mining service for the purpose of including but not limited to identifying patterns and trends within natural language through text categorization, statistical pattern recognition, concept or sentiment extraction, and the association of natural language with indexing terms and mount, load and integrate the results with other data (the “TDM Output”); and ▪ distribute the TDM Output externally electronically and/or in print format, which may include a few lines of query-dependent text of individual full text articles as permitted by Finnish law (“Snippets”) or bibliographic metadata. Where Snippets and/or bibliographic metadata are distributed, they should be accompanied by a DOI link or an alternative attribution via other means that refers to the individual full text article. Where images are used the Institution should clear the rights for reuse with the relevant copyright owner and/or rights holder. The Subscriber Institution may: • ▪ print and deliver book chapters journal articles from the ScienceDirect Subscribed Products (including via email) to fulfill requests as part of the practice commonly known as "“interlibrary loan" ” from non­commercial non-commercial libraries located within the samé same country as the Subscriber. The Subscriber: • (i) may extract and index Data (as defined below) from Institutions; the articles authored by receiving library is permitted to provide the journal article to the user in electronic format; ▪ provide Authorized Users with integrated access to the Subscribed Products; ▪ provide links to Authorized Users to access Excerpts included in the Subscribed Products, to index in the user interface ; and ▪ obtain usage data on its own use of the Subscriber's product by implementing both the SD Search API and the SD Article Entitlement AP I (see xxxx://xxx.xxxxxxxx.xxx/sd apis.html), and store in perpetuity in the Subscriber's secure database systém that the Subscriber uses to collect, preserve and disseminate information about the intellectual output of the Subscriber's institute(s) ("Institutional Repository") and to publically display Snippets (as defined below), provided that: (a) the display of any Data will at all times include (if available) the associated Digital Object Identifier ("DOI"), and (b) links are incorporated in the Data to the relevant article landing page in the Subscribed Product from which such Data was extracted by which such link to the Subscribed Product is displayed more prominently than the links to other versions of the article, and (c) the indexes only include Data and no other parts of the full text articles, and (d) the Subscriber will provide on a monthly basis to Elsevier complete and accurate usage data reports on the Subscriber's Institutional Repository usage activity in a mutually agreed upon formát which will at a minimum specify preprint and author manuscripts usage, during the pilot period of six (6) months. This Agreement shall be deemed to complement and extend the rights of the full text articlesInstitution and Authorized Users under the Finnish Copyright law and nothing in this Agreement shall constitute a waiver of any statutory rights held by the Institution and Authorized Users from time to time under the law or any amending legislation. Abstracts may only be displayed In the event of any conflict between the authorized uses in this Section 1.3 and any terms and conditions communicated to Authorized Users on the abstract records on website where the Subscriber data's websitesSubscribed Products are provided, all other services of the Institutional Repository, such as (but not limited to) alerts, e­ mail services and APFs may only display Snippets but not abstractsthis Agreement shall prevail.

The Subscriber may: • print and deliver book chapters from the ScienceDirect Subscribed Products to fulfill requests as part of the practice commonly known as "interlibrary loan" from non­commercial libraries located within the samé country as the Subscriber. The Subscriber: • (i) may extract and index Data (as defined below) from the articles authored by Authorized Users Published Journal Articles/Published Book Chapters from Authors included in the Subscribed Products, Products to index in the user interface of the Subscriber's product by implementing both the SD Search API and the SD Article Entitlement AP I (see xxxx://xxx.xxxxxxxx.xxx/sd apis.html), and store these in perpetuity in the Subscriber's secure database systém that ’s Institutional Repository by implementing the Subscriber uses to collect, preserve and disseminate information about the intellectual output of the Subscriber's institute(s) ("Institutional Repository") and to publically display Snippets (ScienceDirect APIs as defined below), provided that: (a) the display of any Data will at all times include (if available) the associated Digital Object Identifier ("DOI"), and (b) links are incorporated outlined in the Data to the relevant article landing page in the Subscribed Product from which such Data was extracted by which such link to the Subscribed Product is displayed more prominently than the links to other versions of the article, and (c) the indexes only include Data and no other parts of the full text articles, and (d) the Subscriber will provide on a monthly basis to Elsevier complete and accurate usage data reports on the Subscriber's Institutional Repository usage activity in a mutually agreed upon formát which will at a minimum specify preprint and author manuscripts usage, during the pilot period of six (6) months. (ii) is obligated to remove illicit versi ons of full text articles upon Elsevier's request and allowElsevier to review the implementation of the Data into the Institutional Repository. Elsevierwill háve the right to suggest improvements to the display and ranking o f the search results forthe articles that are available in ScienceDirect. "Data" will be limited to the followinguse case at: index terms, bibliographic information, headers, references, digital object identifiers, footnotes, acknowledgements, keywords, author affiliation. Snippets (as defined below) and abstracts, or any other data when included, of the full text articlesxxxx://xxx.xxxxxxxx.xxx/ir_cris_vivo.html. Abstracts may only be displayed on the abstract records on the Subscriber data's ’s websites, all other services of the Institutional Repository, such as (but not limited to) alerts, e­ e-mail services and APFs API’s may only display Snippets but not abstracts.. In connection with the storage of Data from the Published Journal Articles/Published Book Chapters from Authors in the Subscriber’s Institutional Repository, the Subscriber will: (i) integrate the Institutional Repository software with Elsevier’s APIs in accordance with the API Documentation; (ii) display clear indicators informing users of the Institutional Repository in case they are entitled to the Published Journal Article/Published Book Chapter next to each instance where Data are displayed; (iii) ensure links to the relevant Published Journal Article/Published Book Chapter landing page in the Subscribed Product are available as part of the displayed Data. In the event links to multiple instances of the full text article/book chapter are displayed, the Subscriber will ensure that the link to the Published Journal Article/Published Book Chapter is displayed more prominently than the links to the other versions of the article/book chapter; (iv) undertake reasonable efforts to ensure that Accepted Manuscripts bear a CC BY-NC-ND license and link back to the Published Journal Article/Published Book Chapter on ScienceDirect; (v) ensure the indexes only include Data and no other parts of the Published Journal Articles/Published Book Chapters; and (vi) remove illicit versions of Published Journal Articles on the terms which are set out here: xxxxx://xxx.xxxxxxxx.xxx/about/company-information/policies/hosting upon Elsevier’s request and allow Elsevier to review the implementation of the Data into the Institutional Repository. Elsevier will have the right to suggest improvements to the display of the search results for the Published Journal Articles/Published Book Chapters that are available on the Elsevier site. The Subscriber recognizes that Elsevier wants to ensure that the Institutional Repository will not share personal or private information, including user identities. In the event the Institutional Repository collects or otherwise processes or uses personal data the Subscriber will be responsible for complying with the relevant data protection and privacy laws. As used in this section regarding the storage of Data from the Published Journal Articles/Published Book Chapters from Authors in the Subscriber’s Institutional Repository:

Each Authorized User may: •  access, search, browse and view the Subscribed Products; •  print, download and store a reasonable portion of individual items from the Subscribed Products for the exclusive use of such Authorized User User;  incorporate links to die the Subscribed Products on the Subscriber's ’s intranet and internet websites and in electronic coursepacks, reserves and course management systems and instructor websites, provided that the appearance of such links and/or statements accompanying such [inks wil l links will be changed as reasonably requested by Elsevier store Elsevier;  provide print or electronic copies of individual journal articles items from the ScienceDirect Subscribed Products in the private library of a sociál networking site for the to other Authorized Useť s own personál use only: share individual journal articles from the ScienceDirect Subscribed Products with third Users and to third-party colleagues individually for their scholarly or research use; share individual journal articles from the ScienceDirect Subscribed Products with a limited number of third party colleagues as part of an invitation only working group on non­ commercial platforms or tools, for personál, scholarly or research use; and  access, search, browse, view, print, make electronic copies and store for the exclusive use of such Authorized User or, if the Authorized User is a librarian/information specialist, for the exclusive use of another Authorized User certain journal articles and book chapters from the ScienceDirect® online service that are not subscribed to as part of the Subscribed Products, with each twenty­four twenty-four (24) hour access period for a selected article or chapter, a "“Transaction"”; and  incorporate links to the Subscribed Products in electronic course-packs, reserves and course management systems for use in connection with courses offered by the Subscriber for academic credit. The Subscriber may: •  print and deliver journal articles from Subscribed Titles (as defined herein) and, if any, book chapters from the ScienceDirect Subscribed Products to fulfill requests from non-commercial libraries located within the same country as the Subscriber as part of the practice commonly known as "“interlibrary loan" from non­commercial libraries located within ” whereby the samé country as requested article is supplied by secure electronic transmission, using Ariel or its equivalent, whereby the Subscriberelectronic file is deleted immediately after printing. The Subscriber: •  (i) may extract and index Data (as defined below) from the articles authored by Authorized Users included in the Subscribed Products, to index in the user interface of the Subscriber's ’s product by implementing both the SD Search API and the SD Article Entitlement AP I API (see xxxx://xxx.xxxxxxxx.xxx/sd apis.htmlxxxx://xxx.xxxxxxxx.xxx/sd_apis.html), and store in perpetuity in the Subscriber's ’s secure database systém system that the Subscriber uses to collect, preserve and disseminate information about the intellectual output of the Subscriber's ’s institute(s) ("“Institutional Repository"”) and to publically display Snippets (as defined below), provided that: : (a) the display of any Data will at all times include (if available) the associated Digital Object Identifier ("“DOI"”), and and (b) links are incorporated in the Data to the relevant article landing page in the Subscribed Product from which such Data was extracted by which such link to the Subscribed Product is displayed more prominently than the links to other versions of the article, and and (c) the indexes only include Data and no other parts of the full text articles, and and (d) the Subscriber will provide on a monthly basis to Elsevier complete and accurate usage data reports on the Subscriber's ’s Institutional Repository usage activity in a mutually agreed upon formát format which will at a minimum specify preprint and author manuscripts usage, during the pilot period of six (6) months. (ii) is obligated to remove illicit versi ons of full text articles upon Elsevier's request and allowElsevier to review the implementation of the Data into the Institutional Repository. Elsevierwill háve the right to suggest improvements to the display and ranking o f the search results forthe articles that are available in ScienceDirect. "Data" will be limited to the following: index terms, bibliographic information, headers, references, digital object identifiers, footnotes, acknowledgements, keywords, author affiliation. Snippets (as defined below) and abstracts, or any other data when included, of the full text articles. Abstracts may only be displayed on the abstract records on the Subscriber data's websites, all other services of the Institutional Repository, such as (but not limited to) alerts, e­ mail services and APFs may only display Snippets but not abstracts.

Authorized Uses. The Subscriber may: • ▪ print and deliver journal articles from Subscribed Titles (as defined herein) and, if any, book chapters from the ScienceDirect Subscribed Products to fulfill requests as part of the practice commonly known as “interlibrary loan” from non-commercial libraries located within the same country as the Subscriber, provided that such print and delivery is without commercial gain and not routinely or systematically provided (whether on one occasion or over a period of time) in such a manner or in such quantities as to substitute for a subscription by the receiving library or the end user. ▪ print and deliver book chapters from the ScienceDirect Subscribed Products to fulfill requests as part of the practice commonly known as "“interlibrary loan" ” from non­commercial non-commercial libraries located within the samé same country as the Subscriber.
