Average 35 hours per fortnight. This arrangement allows the Patrol to work an average of 35 hours per fortnight over the roster period. The 35-hour roster will be worked over 7 days per fortnight. A nominal 5 hours per shift will be worked, with no entitlement to a meal break (50 minutes) or a meal allowance. The 35-hour roster allows for six consecutive days off per fortnight. The proposed roster is as follows: SUN MON TUES WED THU FRI SAT Week 1 10.30 8.30 OFF OFF OFF OFF OFF Week 2 OFF 15.30 15.30 15.30 OFF 8.30 10.30 Patrols working under this arrangement will be required to van share. Consultation and agreement will be required between RACV and participating Patrols on van storage location and start location. A Patrol who is van sharing will be required to hand over the van in a clean, neat and serviceable manner. Cleaning wipes will be available, and it is expected that any spills etc will be cleaned up before handover. Van handover will occur in the Patrol’s own time, and each Patrol will be issued with a set of keys. Should a Patrol working under this arrangement resign, RACV will endeavour to find another Patrol who may wish to fill the part-time position and van sharing arrangement. The remaining Patrol will be able to continue to work part-time, without any changes to conditions, while RACV tries to source another van sharing partner. RACV will continue to provide tools and equipment as at present. Patrols will still be required to provide hand tools. RACV will supply to each Patrol working under this arrangement a toolbox in which they can store their hand tools. This allows portability of hand tools at van changeover. Each Patrol working under this arrangement will be issued with a telephone handset.
