Hand Tools. The MOA will provide common hand tools of the trade, which the MOA deems necessary to complete the work assigned. The MOA will not be responsible for hand tools personally owned by an employee and used at the employee’s discretion.
Hand Tools. 1. The UNIVERSITY will continue its past practices of providing or not providing hand tools by craft, department, and/or location. In addition, the UNIVERSITY will make available those tools that are necessary to perform specialized assigned tasks outside of an employee's typical assignment.
Hand Tools. In any case where Trades employees or other employees are required by the Corporation to provide their own hand tools, and where such hand tools are broken as a result of such employees carrying out their required duties and responsibilities in a proper manner, then the Corporation shall pay the cost of replacing such broken hand tools, unless the employee is able to effect replacement without cost under the terms of a guarantee or warranty.
(a) The Corporation will designate those positions or classes of positions whose incumbents are required to provide their own hand tools. In the matter of any dispute which might arise over whether or not an employee is required to provide their own hand tools, the provisions of the Grievance Procedure contained in Article 7 of the Collective Agreement will apply.
(b) Claims for replacement of any hand tool broken as a result of an employee carrying out their required duties and responsibilities in a proper manner, will be made on a form which shall be supplied by the Corporation.
(c) The broken hand tool will be submitted at the time an employee requests a copy of the form.
(d) In order for a claim to be acceptable, breakage will have to be reported orally to the employee's designated supervisor at the earliest reasonable opportunity, and the form will have to be completed not later than the end of the working shift during which the breakage occurred.
(e) When a claim has been accepted, the Corporation will provide a tool of the same or equivalent make and quality as the tool which was broken. Whenever it is considered desirable by the employee that the Corporation should provide a tool which is the same as that which was broken, then if it is possible to purchase such replacement in the Greater Vancouver area, the Corporation shall provide a tool of the same make and quality.
(f) In the matter of adjudication of claims by the Corporation's supervisory staff, it is agreed that the employees will possess no right to appeal the decisions of their supervisors.
Hand Tools. Employees are personally responsible for the proper care and security of all hand tools provided to them by the Employer for their use on the job. The Employer shall provide replacement hand tools only in cases where normal wear or breakage renders such tools unusable or unsafe.
Hand Tools. SECTION 1. Journeyman/HVAC Mechanic sheet metal servicemen and apprentices shall be required to provide all necessary basic hand tools required to perform their work.
Hand Tools. All maintenance trades people and mechanics shall supply and maintain their own hand tools.
Hand Tools. Operator/Mechanics will furnish their own hand tools. If such tools are broken, or otherwise rendered unusable, in performance of duty, the Municipality will replace said tools with equal or better quality tools. Such replacement will be made as quickly as possible.

Hand Tools. 5.5.1 Own hand tools ▪ If the xxxxxxxxx, block paver, bricklayer or tiler uses his or her own hand tools, the employee is entitled to a hand tool allowance as described in clause 5.5.2. ▪ This does not apply if the employer provides the employee with the hand tools either temporarily or permanently.
Hand Tools. Journeymen and appren- xxxx sheet metal workers covered by this Agreement shall provide for themselves all necessary hand tools.
