Basic Hospital benefits Sample Clauses

The 'Basic Hospital benefits' clause defines the fundamental coverage provided for hospital-related expenses under an insurance policy. Typically, this clause outlines which hospital services are covered, such as room and board, nursing care, and certain medical procedures during a hospital stay, often subject to specified limits or exclusions. Its core practical function is to ensure that policyholders receive financial support for essential hospital care, thereby reducing the burden of unexpected medical costs and clarifying the scope of coverage for inpatient treatment.
Basic Hospital benefits. The Hospital benefits to which a Covered Person is entitled while medically necessary and reasonably confined as a Registered Bed Patient are limited to a maximum of three hundred and sixty-five (365) days of confinement during a Plan Year, in accordance with evidence based medical guidelines. Coverage is provided at the Hospital's most common Semi-Private room rate, or at the Hospital's daily average private or single room rate if there are no Semi-Private accommodations or if a private room is Medically Necessary.
