Basic Work Day. The regular work week, exclusive of lunch, shall be forty (40) hours for regular employees.
Basic Work Day. A regular work day for maintenance and janitorial personnel shall consist of eight (8) hours inclusive of a one-half hour lunch for full-time employees. The regular scheduled work day for a full-time Secretary, Clerk and Receptionist under this Agreement shall be eight (8) hours per day. The workday for all other employees under this contract shall be established by the employer based on need, but will be considered full-time if assigned an eight-(8) hour day including lunch. A part-time employee will be notified of the hours to be worked prior to the beginning of the school year.
Basic Work Day. A. The basic work day for secretaries and aides shall be scheduled during the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. B. The basic work day for transportation, custodial, maintenance, and grounds personnel shall be scheduled as the needs of the district dictate. A reasonable effort shall be made to schedule each such employee's work day so that he/she performs services in a single block of time for that day, whenever possible. C. The basic work day for food service personnel shall be scheduled between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.
Basic Work Day. 6.1.1 The basic day of service for all full time Unit Members shall be seven and one-half (7.5) hours. A minimum of a thirty-minute duty free lunch period shall be granted during this time. Teachers will not be required to take both before school and morning recess duties on the same day unless a planning period is in between or the Teacher elects that as an option. The Principal and staff at each site shall establish a system that provides a morning break for Teachers who are assigned to morning recess duty that day. Said break need not occur during morning recess duty time. In order to insure confidentiality of Teacher discussions during lunch periods, the site Principal, after discussion with the teaching staff, shall designate space that is restricted during the lunch period to school site staff, only. Implementation of this designated space is on a site-by-site basis and subject to reaching consensus with the site staff. 6.1.2 If the morning reporting time is established by the principal before or after 8:00 a.m., the basic day of service shall be adjusted an equivalent number of minutes before or after 3:30 p.m. 6.1.3 Teachers may be authorized by the principal to leave school during non-instructional time. Procedures regarding such absences shall be established by the school site principal after consulting with Teachers at that site. 6.1.4 The preparation/planning time set forth in Section 6.5 below shall be included in the students' instructional day. 6.1.5 All teachers shall be given at least seventy-two (72) hours prior notice when a mandatory meeting is scheduled.

Basic Work Day. Times of arrival and departure shall be set in each school by the principal with the advice of the faculty, provided that the full work day, including the thirty (30) minute duty-free lunch period, shall be seven and one half (7 1/2) consecutive hours, Individual exceptions may be approved by the immediate supervisor for a given day. The faculty of a school includes all certificated employees assigned to that site.
Basic Work Day. A. Full-time employees shall begin their regular work days thirty (30) minutes before the students’ day begins and continue for seven (7) hours . The employee’s total instructional time shall not exceed three hundred (300) minutes per day. B. Full-time Middle and High School teachers shall have at least one full class period on non-classroom time during each workday. (See Section 3 for additional information).

The daily hours for food service employees shall be established for each employee in each classification at the beginning of the school year. If there is more than one starting time within the same classification, the senior person in that classification will be allowed the choice of starting time assignment. Should it become necessary to alter established schedules in the interest of efficient operations, to provide for more beneficial food services or to better utilize facilities or the working forces, no less than fourteen (14) calendar days’ notice will be given the local union representative. Again, if there is more than one starting time within the same classification as a result of the altering of established schedules, the senior person in that classification will be allowed the choice of starting time assignment. Upon request, the Superintendent will discuss the new schedules with the local union affording an opportunity to express its views prior to implementation.
