Common use of Basis for Layoff Clause in Contracts

Basis for Layoff. The University may layoff employees whenever such action is necessary by reason of: 21.3.1 Lack of funds; 21.3.2 Lack of work; 21.3.3 Ineligibility to continue in a position that has been reallocated; 21.3.4 Organizational change; 21.3.5 Termination of a project or contract; 21.3.6 Availability of fewer positions than there are employees entitled to such positions.
