Beginning January 16, 1999, the number of casuals who may be employed within a District in any accounting period, other than accounting periods 3 and 4, shall not exceed 15% of the total number of career employees within a District covered by this Agreement, and also shall not exceed on average 5.9% of the total number of career employees covered by this Agreement during a fiscal year, exclusive of accounting periods 3 and 4. Disputes concerning violations of the casual cap will be addressed by the parties at the national level.

  • Beginning Date Both parties agree that negotiations for a new contract shall commence no later than 30 days after ratification of the current collective bargaining agreement in a good faith effort to reach a contract. A maximum accrual of compensatory time shall be forty (40) hours. Flex Time. The County recognizes and supports the concept of Flex time. Flex time is allowed within the work week as it is defined in Article 20, Section 2 of this contract. If an employee requests, an employee and their department head may agree to allow an employee to flex their schedule. However, in some departments and under some circumstances flex time may not be feasible and will not be permitted. No employee shall be required to take flex time off in order to avoid the payment of overtime or as a condition of continued employment.

  • Holiday Falling on a Scheduled Workday An employee who works on a designated holiday which is a scheduled workday shall be compensated at the rate of double-time for hours worked, plus a day off in lieu of the holiday; except for Christmas and New Year's when the compensation shall be at the rate of double-time and one-half for hours worked, plus a day off in lieu of the holiday.
